Making an anchor riding sail is an easy way to try your hand at sailmaking. It can be constructed on any home sewing machine and no special tools are required. Hank it onto the backstay with the two Ronstan snaps and sheet it to any handy point forward.
This Anchor Riding sail kit makes a 20.25 sq. ft. sail and uses #3 Ronstan Snaps (suitable for wire to 7/16" diameter) for attachment to the backstay. Effective on boats to roughly 50 feet.
Made from durable White Top Gun fabric which holds up well in the sun and is very resistant to chafe.
