An awning can make a big difference on a hot day. This awning kit features 9.25 oz. Sunbrella®, a solution dyed acrylic. Sunbrella® comes in many fantastic colors; so, your awning can be a decorative item as well as a sun shade. It is highly resistant to fading and ultraviolet rays. It does not stretch or shrink noticeably and yet is quite soft and stays that way. And it is very water and mildew resistant. Simply hose it off on a monthly basis to keep it clean.
A number of construction alternatives are detailed in the instruction booklet for this kit. Thus, the kit is identified by the size of the fabric blank which can be fabricated, rather than by the finished size of the awning roof which will depend upon the style of the structure and whether it has a front, a back, or sides.
Fabric panels are not presewn. Size given for kit indicates dimensions after panels are sewn but before hems and sleeves are added. Finished size will be approximately 1 foot shorter and 6-inches narrower. Girth and length can be exchanged.
