Ensolite is a Closed Cell PVN foam designed for flotation gear and cushions in the marine market. It does not absorb moisture* and, thus, is excellent for use in cockpit cushions, life jackets, and bosun's chairs (where a thin but very firm cushion helps). PVN foam resists both weather aging and mechanical abrasion. It does not support combustion. Density (lbs./cu.ft.) is 3.0-5.0; 25% Compression Resistance (PSI) is 2-4. Passes flammability test (MVSS 302).
Pieces can be glued together with 3M Super Trim Adhesive to form larger pieces or to reduce waste. 56" wide, 1/2" thick. Sold per foot, full feet only.
Note: Shrinkage of 3 to 5 percent may occur with closed cell foam. The thicker foams are more stable than the thinner. Shrinking is more likely in cold weather than in hot. If you have closed cell foam which has shrunk, consider wrapping it with polyester batting to give it more bulk or simply glue pieces together with 3M Super Trim Adhesive.
