Shipping Charges:
Where possible we have added shipping methods that are relevant to foreign countries. In cases where there are no shipping methods which make sense you may contact us by email to request a shipping estimate for your current cart contents. We will email the order as an Estimate with accurate shipping charges. You may then access the Estimate through your online account
("My Account" link at top of home page) and turn it into a order.
Shipping Discount: Sailrite has negotiated for a large discount on shipping rates for orders going outside of the United States. We have decided to pass this discount on to our customers in order to encourage international ordering. If you compare the shipping price from our website (UPS Express, UPS Expedited and UPS Saver) to UPS published rates you will find our rate to be less expensive. Also please keep in mind that UPS brokerage fees are included in the shipping charges when using the above mentioned services. Duties, taxes and additional fees may be incurred depending upon the country of destination and the items ordered.
Additional Costs: We charge for shipping and the order contents. There are no US taxes on orders shipped outside of the United States. Additional taxes, duties, local delivery charges and other miscellaneous fees at the destination are your responsibility. Our UPS rates include UPS brokerage fees. Shipments are valued and insured at invoiced pricing. If a package is refused or abandoned for any reason or returned to us, delivery charges incurred for the package to be returned will be charged to you. If an invalid shipping address is provide at the time of ordering, all shipping and re-routing charges will be the customer’s responsibility.
Special Requirements (Payment): In some cases, first-time international customers may be required to fax a copy of their credit card with a letter authorizing us to take payment on the card. This letter must be signed. You will be notified by email if this is required. If you wish to pay with a wire transfer please contact us to get the proper information.
Order Tracking: UPS Saver, UPS Expedited and UPS Express shipments are trackable. For these orders, if you have provided a valid email address at the time you placed the order you will receive a shipping confirmation with a tracking number. Visit www.ups.com to enter the tracking number and check the progress of your shipment. If you do not receive a confirmation that means either the order has not shipped yet or the email address we have on file is wrong or the email is being blocked by your computer. Some Post Office shipments can be tracked but in a very limited manner.
Lost Packages: If a Post Office package is lost it will take up to 30 days from the date of shipping before a refund or duplicate shipment can be made (per Post Office guidelines). UPS claims can be made much quicker. We will do everything possible from our end to expedite any claims on your behalf. Please note that often delays are caused by customs in the receiving country so all shipping time estimates are estimates and not guarantees.
Damaged Shipment:
Contact us immediately (no longer than 7 days) if your shipment is damaged, save all the packaging a claim can not be made without it. We may request digital photos of the box and its contents to make a claim with the carrier. Once the claim is approved we can resend the order or provide a credit. |
