"If you have ever talked to me on the phone about what products I recommend for cleaning, you will often hear 'It's hit or miss depending on the stain and the length of time the stain or dirt has been sitting.' I needed something to clean my old deck boat's fiberglass hull. It had been sitting out in the weather for years without much (I should say no) care, and the fiberglass hull had black spots everywhere. I tried Tilex (a bleach cleaner that seems to clean most applications in my home well), but it did not work at all. I tried the Magic Sponge, and it worked with some success but it would require a case of them and vigorous scrubbing that would render me useless for just about anything for a week.
So I grabbed Meguiar's Deck & Hull Cleaner, a cleaner from Sailrite that sounded impressive after reading the label. I sprayed this stuff on my boat, let it sit for about 30 seconds, and then agitated it with a cloth (no elbow grease needed) and sprayed it off with clean water. Wow, it looked like new! I am not exaggerating! I then continued spraying it on almost everything on my boat. (I noticed later on the bottle label that it is not for plastic, glass, and aluminum surfaces, but I did not notice any damage.) I love this stuff!
PS - I just recently used it on my cement garage floor to clean up the motor oil that my Suburban leaks all winter long. It worked just as well for that too!"
