| Designed for basting canvas fabrics like Sunbrella and Top Gun, this 3/8" tape is more aggressive than regular Seamstick—a help with coarse canvas fabrics which are harder to adhere to than smooth Dacron sailcloth. An invaluable aid! It also waterproofs the seam! 72 yard roll.
This basting tape is a rubber based adhesive tape that adheres very well on initial contact, however it is not recommended for use on lighter fabric colors (Sunbrella Natural, Oyster & Parchment colors) due to its tendency to yellow over time. It will also turn Sunbrella black when used in conjuction with Shelter-Rite vinyl. If your project is going to incorporate Shelter-Rite as a reinforcing material, we recommend using part #129 which is the Acrylic basting tape.
Note: This tape is left in the seam where it will not show. If any needle gumming occurs, intermittently clean the needle with an alcohol swab or use Goo Gone.
