1,200# TensileSpun Classic 3-Strand Polyester 6mm is a relatively soft, easy worked rope. Generally used along the luff and foot of mainsails as well as along the leading edge of “stretchy luffed” genoas and jibs. This “loft lay” is a bit softer than the normal line used for sheets in order to make it easier to work and splice. Available in spun polyester (Dacron). Most “part time racers” will prefer Dacron polyester – although it will stretch only about half as much as nylon, it has excellent longevity and stability. Sold per foot.
