Sunbrella Clarity 83033-0000 Linen Fabric 60" is a solution dyed acrylic awning fabric from Glen Raven's Sunbrella Clarity Collection. Sunbrella Clarity is engineered for awnings that need to look their best even when regular cleaning is out of reach. It features a durable polyurethane undercoating for superior water resistance and a special finish that uses the natural elements of sunlight and rain to remove organic contaminants and stains (like roof run-off).

The Sunbrella Clarity technology works in two ways to help awnings stay clean and maintain the "like new" appearance. The natural cleaning element of the fabric is first fueled by UV light (even cloudy days or moderate shade will do). The sunlight activates the decomposition of organic material like oils, mold, mildew, grime, and VOCs. The second part of the process is triggered by rain or moisture. The surface of the fabric will wet-out (rather than bead up like standard Sunbrella) by spreading the moisture out to wash away particles of inorganic matter. The fabric will temporarily darken during the wet-out process but will return to its original color quickly after drying. By working together, the natural elements of sunlight and rain will ensure that Sunbrella Clarity is long-lasting, easy-to-maintain, and always beautiful.

Clarity is backed with a special polyurethane coating to increase its water resistance and prevent water from penetrating through the awning. This awning fabric is also extremely durable, easy to maintain, and UV resistant. There is a right and wrong side to this awning fabric, meaning only the smooth, soft, uncoated side is meant to be exposed to the outside. Keep the coated side of the fabric on the inside or underside of your applications.

Sunbrella Clarity Fabric is intended for outdoor use (it needs the sun and the rain to do it's job!). Sunbrella Clarity Linen is perfect for commercial and residential awnings, canopies, market umbrellas, and hard-to-reach shade structures as well as marine tops and boat awnings. Use with the uncoated side face up.

Sunbrella Clarity Care & Cleaning

Sunbrella Clarity is designed to improve the fabric appearance by eliminating streaks caused by roof run-off and breaking down organic stains caused by dust, dirt, pollen, and air born pollutants. To maintain, occasionally use a sponge or soft brush to apply mild soap and warm water to the fabric. Rinse thoroughly. Air dry. For stubborn stains or mildew, add one cup of bleach per gallon of soap and water. Apply directly to the stain and use a sponge or soft brush to clean. Rinse thoroughly. Air dry. Repeat if necessary with additional bleach.

Always rinse thoroughly. Bleach won't harm Sunbrella fabric, but it could damage clothing if not rinsed away. Machine drying is unnecessary and high heat may damage the fabric. Do not use 303 Fabric Guard on Sunbrella Clarity.
