Most Wichard products are manufactured using a forging technique that "ennobles" metal by eliminating all internal structural defects. The result is great structural adhesion and strength. A cast product will fail suddenly without warning, but Wichard products will stretch and deform before breaking, giving time to replace the product before it fails.
