Thread V-69 Bishop Red Polyester UV 4oz is a smooth, bonded polyester thread that is perfect for sail and canvas work. Bonded Dabond polyester thread has high strength and stretch control, stability in sunlight (UVR), and resistance to needle heat, abrasion, salt-water and mildew. Our polyester thread very seldom frays at the needle eye, and the consistent bonded finish minimizes the need for continual machine tension adjustments. Perfect for use on sails, tents, boat covers, awnings, outdoor canvas covers, and tarps.
Use this V-69 thread with a #16 or #18 needle for up to 6 oz. fabrics or 9.5 oz. acrylic cover fabrics. We recommend using a #20 needle when sewing with the Sailrite Ultrafeed sewing machine.
