A 7 x 7 construction, 1/8-inch Stainless Steel Wire Rope coated to 5/32-inch. Use for luff reinforcement in headsails or for life lines.
Since stainless steel will corrode in moist saltwater conditions, the rope has been coated with a white vinyl to prevent discoloration of the sailcloth. The vinyl coating also makes it possible to secure the sail to the luff reinforcement with a sticking stitch — a practice desirable with larger sails. Sold per foot.
