YKK® AquaGuard® Water Repellent Zipper #10 Black 36" is a practically waterproof zipper with great strength and smooth operation. A metal single pull non-locking slider and metal starter box/pin is included. The polyurethane coating (shiny outer surface) increases water repellency but reduces the flexibility of this coil zipper. Because of this, AquaGuard zippers are not recommended for projects with curves. AquaGuard zippers are perfect for outdoor applications requiring moisture protection or an airtight seal.
Finished zipper lengths can be shortened easily by cutting the end that is last closed. Secure a piece of vinyl fabric over the zipper teeth so that the slider cannot be pulled off.
AquaGuard YKK zippers come with a single pull slider which can only be opened from one side (jacket style). The number 10 zipper has teeth roughly 7/16" wide when closed.
