Shipping – U.S. & International
UPS tends to be more reliable for all shipments and is less expensive than the US Postal Service for larger, heavy orders. UPS offers several shipping methods. Ground delivery takes 2 to 5 business days whereas air shipment services can take as little as one business day.
UPS will not deliver to PO Boxes or to an APO or FPO address.
U.S. TERRITORIES: UPS International shipping options are available to the following U.S. Territories: American Samoa, Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, Marshall Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands. Please set the COUNTRY in your shipping address to your corresponding territory.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: UPS generally takes about 3 to 5 business days for delivery of international shipments. Sailrite has negotiated for a large discount on shipping rates for orders going outside of the United States. We have decided to pass this discount on to you in order to encourage international ordering. If you compare the shipping price from our website (UPS Express, UPS Expedited and UPS Saver) to UPS published rates you will find our rate to be less expensive.
For international commercial accounts, UPS will automatically broker all packages unless otherwise requested. Sailrite will assume that UPS will broker any package (often the fastest method) unless you specifically instruct us to use a different broker. To use your own broker, we require the broker name, address, phone, and email address to be provided. If you select your own broker, UPS transit times are not guaranteed.
UPS Canada Standard
UPS Canada Standard is a shipping option for our Canadian customers.
Canada Customs requires Canadian recipients to pay applicable duties and taxes on each shipment entering Canada. These charges may include PST, GST, HST, duties and other taxes of goods (e.g., excise tax). A brokerage fee is also charged to process shipments and present the requisite customs paperwork to Canada Customs on the importer's behalf.
Your order will be shipped under UPS's e-Tailer Brokerage Program (eBP), where eligible shipments imported into Canada for non-commercial purposes and valued under CAD $200 shipped via UPS Standard service are subject to a reduced brokerage fee of CAD $10, plus any applicable duties and taxes. Shipments valued at CAD $200 and above and/or being imported to Canada for commercial purposes and/or subject to specialized clearance may incur additional fees.
Please, be aware that UPS will request payment of these charges at the time of delivery. You have the ability to call UPS ahead of time (1-800-742-5877) to pay these charges, eliminating the need for payment on delivery.
United States Postal Service (USPS)
Packages sent Priority Mail within the United States take 3 to 10 business days for delivery (excluding Sunday). Shipments can be sent to PO Boxes and APO/FPO addresses. United States Postal Service (USPS) offers only limited tracking information.
U.S. TERRITORIES: USPS Domestic shipping options are available to the following U.S. Territories: American Samoa, Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, Marshall Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands. Please set the STATE in your shipping address to your corresponding territory and the COUNTRY to United States. If your order is over 70 lbs, we are unable to display a shipping rate. Please place separate, smaller orders or contact our office for an estimate.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: Delivery for international shipments typically takes between 7 and 14 business days. Size and weight restrictions vary by country.
Sailrite does not offer third party billing.
Sailrite does not ship cash on delivery (COD).

If there are no appropriate shipping methods to your location, please contact us by email to request a shipping estimate for your current cart contents. The most accurate way to see available shipping methods and charges is during checkout. Once items have been added to your shopping cart, click "Proceed to Checkout" and shipping charges can be viewed and selected prior to entering payment information.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: We only charge for shipping and the order contents. There are no US taxes on orders shipped outside of the United States. Additional taxes, duties, local delivery charges, and other miscellaneous fees at the destination are your responsibility. Our UPS Expedited, UPS Express Saver, and UPS Express rates include UPS brokerage fees. Duties, taxes, and additional fees (sometimes classified as brokerage fees) may be incurred depending upon the country of destination and the items ordered. Also, you may incur additional brokerage fees from your broker. Sailrite is diligent to select appropriate tariff codes for products but cannot guarantee the codes listed on the commercial invoice will be the best (least taxed) for any particular country. Shipments are valued and insured at invoiced pricing. Valuation for purposes of taxation does include shipping charges (often required for international destinations).

Flammable Items cannot be shipped by air services, ground to Alaska and Hawaii, internationally or to APO/FPO addresses. Flammable items are marked as such in the product description.
With UPS, the maximum product length for shipping is 8 ft. (96”) and the maximum length and girth combined is 130”. With United States Postal Service (USPS), the maximum length and girth combined is 108” for US and Canadian shipments.
PO Boxes and APO/ FPO addresses can receive shipments from United States Postal Service (USPS) only. UPS will not ship to these addresses. If an inappropriate shipping method is selected, we will contact you with a revised shipping amount.

Estimated Shipping Date
Orders are typically shipped within 1 to 2 days of receipt excluding weekends and holidays. Please keep in mind that some items are in high demand during certain seasons. Sail kits and finished items will require additional time for custom design, labor, and receipt of any special order fabrics. We will make every effort to keep you informed about orders which may take a little longer than normal to ship.
All orders are fulfilled and shipped between Monday and Friday excluding US holidays. For air shipments (UPS 2nd Day or Next Day), the order cutoff time is 12 noon EST/EDT for guaranteed departure that day. Air services count only business days (Monday thru Friday), so if you place an order on Thursday before 12 pm EST/EDT and choose 2nd day air, your order will not arrive until Monday.

Tracking an Order
Packages shipped by UPS are trackable. If a valid e-mail address is provided, a shipping confirmation with tracking number will be sent when the order is shipped. Visit www.ups.com to enter the tracking number and check the progress of your shipment. Customize your delivery (ie. leave delivery instructions, change delivery address, receive status updates, sign for a package, etc.) by signing up for UPS My Choice® at www.ups.com/delivery.
United States Postal Service (USPS) offers limited tracking information as they only scan the package when received and delivered. Visit www.usps.com and enter the tracking number to check the progress of your shipment.
If you have not received a shipping confirmation, your order has not been shipped, the email address provided was invalid, or the email was blocked by your spam filter.

Lost, Damaged or Missing Items
If you think your package is lost, first check around the house or business and with neighbors to make sure they didn’t sign in your absence. Then call us or the carrier to request a driver follow-up. UPS loss claims move rather quickly and a delivery signature (if available) can report who signed for the package. If a United States Postal Service (USPS) package is lost, a claim cannot be filed until 21 days after the ship date for US shipments and until 45-60 days for international shipments (per Post Office guidelines).
If damage in shipping has occurred or if items are missing, contact us within 7 days. SAVE ALL PACKAGING, without it a claim cannot be made. Inspect the shipping carton for holes, crushed corners, or CLEAR tape (Sailrite does not use CLEAR packaging tape). Be prepared to describe the damage in detail. We may request digital photos of the box and its contents to help expedite a claim with the carrier on your behalf.
Once a loss or damage claim is approved, we can resend the order or provide a credit.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: Please remember that shipping times are estimates, not guarantees, and that delays can be caused by customs in the receiving country.

Wrong Shipping Address
Be very careful when entering shipping addresses! If your order has already been shipped, go to www.ups.com and sign in at UPS My Choice® to change the delivery address of your package (charges will apply). Small mistakes will usually not cause any delivery delays, however a bad or wrong address may cause long delays. If the package gets returned to us, we can resend the package to a new address but you will be responsible for the original and additional shipping charges.

Frequently Asked Shipping Questions
What if there is a delivery attempt notice on my door?
Sailrite does not require a delivery signature. UPS drivers have discretion to decide if it is safe to leave a package at its destination without a delivery signature. The notice will provide the date/time of the next delivery attempt or tell you to call the local UPS hub to arrange for pick-up.
If multiple attempts are made to deliver the package(s) without success, the order will be returned to our warehouse. We will notify you of the delivery failure and determine a course of action. Should we need to re-send your order, you will be responsible for additional shipping charges. If you refuse the order or delivery, we will credit the price of the items ordered but NOT the shipping and handling charges (includes all shipping and handling fees incurred during delivery and return).
We recommend using UPS My Choice® to customize your delivery. Sign up is free at www.ups.com/delivery and you can leave delivery instructions, receive delivery alerts, sign for a package, or even change the delivery address.
Can you put delivery instructions on the package?
We will try to accommodate requests to write things like “Leave on porch” but cannot guarantee that the carrier will follow through with the request. If the note MUST be followed, we suggest leaving your delivery instructions with UPS My Choice®. What can I do if the product I purchased from Sailrite broke?
Sailrite directly warrants all products for 30 days, including items not manufactured by Sailrite. Should you experience a problem within 30 days, please contact us by phone, email or create an online support case. Any defective/broken items must be returned to Sailrite Headquarters (IN) before a replacement or repair can be return shipped. Shipping charges both ways are the customer’s responsibility. Tools which have been misused will not be replaced.
Should a product break or fail after 30 days, contact the manufacturer directly. If the manufacturer is unknown (look on product and packaging), please create an online support case and we will correspond with the manufacturer on your behalf. Some manufacturers are better than others about replacements for broken or defective products. We will try our best but cannot guarantee a replacement.
