The Sewing Machines

The Ultrafeed sewing machines are now offered as a single package: one for the zigzag/straight stitch model and one for the straight stitch model. These new machine packages are complete with the start-up features Sailrite recommends, but options can be added as desired.
All Ultrafeeds now come standard with the Posi-Pin direct drive clutching system. This system is a radical improvement over the traditional friction clutch on all other portable sewing machines. The system completely eliminates power robbing drive slippage (balance wheel slippage).
The Posi-Pin system is mated to the PowerPlus Balance wheel. It’s a standard feature on every machine! This large diameter balance wheel slows the machine down and adds tremendous punching power. The Ultrafeed with this power system is more controllable and powerful than any machine in its class. These machines are truly overachievers!

Power and control has been further improved by making the deluxe electronic foot control standard. This foot control will not heat up and does not make any arching noises like the original carbon-pile units. All Ultrafeeds now come standard in the deluxe black vinyl wrapped carrying case. This case is of instrument quality and has three important features; It has corner reinforcements to protect and strengthen the case, it has a foam insert in the case top to hold the machine tightly in the case base allowing the machine to be stored on its side, and it has a rugged carrying handle and strong latches securing the lid to the base.

And all of the Sailrite patented technology features that make an Ultrafeed such a great machine are still in use – the scarfed hook, the increased needle bar stroke, the special foot and feeder design, weld reinforced internal components, etc. Please see Patent #6499415 for complete details.

As in years past the Sailrite Ultrafeed sewing machines continue to come with excellent guidebooks and DVD video instructions. The 2007 machine packages come with these basic accessories: Thread Stand, Accessory box (screwdrivers, oil, 4 needles, 4 bobbins), and Thread. Add-On components are available separately to customize machines. So if you need the handcrank feature to operate the machine without electricity, purchase the Monster II Balance Wheel kit. If you want a light on the machine, select the one you prefer. See the Related Items list below the description of each sewing machine online.

New Sailrite Website

We have been listening to your suggestions over the past five years about how to make our website better. I am happy to say that our new site satisfies almost all of the requests we have heard.

1. You no longer must register to place an order. We still prefer that you do register so Sailrite can build an order history but if you hate passwords you can now avoid creating one.
2. If you do register the system will make it easy for you to manage any videos or PDF documents that you have purchased from Sailrite.
3. Order entry is easier to understand.
4. Part numbers will display for all items including kits.
5. The categories better match our printed catalog
index.
6. Searching is fast and accurate.
7. The Sail Kit quoting system has been totally revamped (more details on this later – It’s cool, just wait).

For security reasons we are not transferring existing account numbers or passwords to the new system. If you order online we suggest that you go through the registration process again to create a new account with a new password. If you prefer to have us enter your account information please call 800-348-2769 or 260-693-2242.
