Shipping Methods

You can select from two shipping carriers, FedEx® and the United States Postal Service (USPS). Sailrite does not offer third party billing, nor do we ship cash on delivery (COD).

Domestic Shipping

FedEx

FedEx offers the flexibility of several shipping methods: FedEx Ground, FedEx 2Day®, FedEx Standard Overnight®, FedEx International Priority and FedEx International Economy.

FedEx will not deliver to PO Boxes or to an APO or FPO address.

United States Postal Service (USPS)

USPS shipments can be sent to PO Boxes and APO/FPO addresses. USPS offers only limited tracking information and has a 70 lb. maximum shipping weight.

All available shipping methods and charges can be viewed and selected during the checkout process prior to entering payment information.

Shipping Restrictions

Flammable items can only be shipped by FedEx Ground services to the 48 contiguous States (excludes: air services, e.g. FedEx 2Day, FedEx Standard Overnight; ground to Alaska and Hawaii; international; United States Postal Service; and APO/FPO addresses). Flammable items are marked as such in the product description.

Products containing lithium ion batteries cannot be shipped via the United States Postal Service (USPS). Items containing these batteries are marked as such in the product description.

With FedEx:

  • Packages can be up to 150 lbs.

  • Packages can be up to 165 inches in length and girth combined.

  • Packages can be up to 108 inches in length.

  • Packages with a large size-to-weight ratio require special pricing and dimensional weight calculations.

With USPS:

The maximum length and girth combined is 108" for U.S. and Canadian shipments. The maximum shipping weight for USPS is 70 lb.

Estimated Ship Date

Currently all shipping carriers have suspended time in transit guarantees, and delays are common. Next Day Air and 2nd Day Air are still prioritized and are the fastest shipping methods.

In stock orders are typically shipped within 1-2 days of receipt excluding weekends and holidays (exceptions may be noted on individual items on the website). Kits may require additional time for custom design. For out of stock items please refer to the product page to see when they will be back in stock.

For air shipments (FedEx 2Day and FedEx Standard Overnight), the order cutoff time is 12 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) for guaranteed departure that day. Air services count only business days (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays), so if you place an order on Thursday before 12 p.m. ET and choose 2nd Day Air, your order will arrive Monday. If a FedEx Standard Overnight order is placed on Friday before 12 p.m. ET it will arrive Monday.

Delivery Time

FedEx Ground shipments can take 1-5 business days to arrive (3-7 business days to Alaska and Hawaii). Shipments to certain locations may require additional time in transit. FedEx Ground delivers Monday-Friday and Saturday in select areas. FedEx Ground is a ground shipment method and does not include FedEx 2Day or FedEx Standard Overnight.

FedEx 2Day delivers on the second business day to most locations. FedEx Standard Overnight offers guaranteed, next business day delivery. Next business day delivery by 10:30 a.m., 12 p.m. or end of day, depending on destination (serves all 50 states and Puerto Rico, with some limitations in Hawaii and Alaska). Most deliveries take place Monday-Friday. Saturday delivery service is available for FedEx Standard Overnight, FedEx 2Day and FedEx Ground shipments to select major metropolitan areas in the United States.

United States Postal Service (USPS) packages sent Priority Mail within the United States take 3-10 business days for delivery. Packages sent USPS First Class Mail can take up to 2 weeks to be delivered. USPS delivers Monday-Saturday.

U.S. Territories Shipping

Packages to U.S. Territories can ship either by FedEx or the United States Postal Service (USPS). To see the rates, you'll need to enter your address differently as outlined below. Some territories have similar weight restrictions by FedEx or by USPS. If a shipping rate cannot be calculated using either method, reduce the order size or separate the order into multiple transactions.

FedEx

FedEx international shipping options are available to the following U.S. Territories: American Samoa, Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, Marshall Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands. Please set the COUNTRY in your shipping address to your corresponding territory.

United States Postal Service (USPS)

USPS Domestic shipping options are available to the following U.S. Territories: American Samoa, Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, Marshall Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands. Please set the STATE in your shipping address to your corresponding territory and the COUNTRY to United States. If your order is over the USPS maximum shipping weight of 70 lb., we are unable to display a shipping rate. Please place separate, smaller orders, change your country to the territory instead of the United States, or contact our office for an estimate.

International Shipping

FedEx International Shipments

FedEx International Priority typically delivers in 1-3 business days. FedEx International Economy shipments usually take around 2-5 business days for delivery.

For international commercial accounts, FedEx will automatically broker all packages unless otherwise requested. Sailrite will assume that FedEx will broker any package (often the fastest method) unless you specifically instruct us to use a different broker. To use your own broker, we require the broker name, address, phone and email address to be provided. If you select your own broker, FedEx transit times are not guaranteed.

United States Postal Service International (Including Canada)

United States Postal Service (USPS) delivery for international shipments typically takes 7-14 business days. Size and weight restrictions vary by country.

International Shipping Brokerage Fees & Taxes

We only charge for shipping and the order contents. There are no U.S. taxes on orders shipped outside of the United States. Additional taxes, duties, local delivery charges and other miscellaneous fees at the destination are your responsibility. Each country’s customs agency treats orders that enter their country differently. Countries are at liberty to add their own estimated or published shipping charges for taxation purposes at will regardless of what charges Sailrite notes on their invoice. Customs also may not take into account any discounts you may have received through Sailrite.

Our FedEx International Priority and FedEx International Economy rates include FedEx brokerage fees. Duties, taxes and additional fees (sometimes classified as brokerage fees) may be incurred depending upon the country of destination and the items ordered. Also, you may incur additional brokerage fees from your broker. Sailrite is diligent to select appropriate tariff codes for products but cannot guarantee the codes listed on the commercial invoice will be the best (least taxed) for any particular country. Shipments are valued and insured at invoiced pricing. Valuation for purposes of taxation does include shipping charges (often required for international destinations).

Estimated Arrival Times

Please remember that shipping times are estimates, not guarantees, and that delays can be caused by customs in the receiving country.

Restrictions by Country

Russia: Due to international shipping rules and regulations, orders originating from Russia cannot be placed online. If you would like an order delivered to Russia, please send an email to info@sailrite.com with an itemized list of the products you would like to order. We will then create a custom order for you and verify that your order adheres to current shipping restrictions. Once we verify that your order does not contain any prohibited or restricted items, we will contact you to complete processing your order.

United Kingdom/European Union: Due to VAT regulations for goods shipped to the UK-EU, the minimum amount for orders to UK-EU is $190.00. Orders less than this amount will be unable to select a shipping option and, therefore, be unable to complete checkout. Orders greater than $190.00 will be shipped with brokerage fees and taxes applicable as stated in the "International Shipping Brokerage Fees & Taxes" section above.

Mexico: Due to the frequency of credit card chargebacks due to fraud and importation guidelines orders are only shipped to Mexico if 1.) The value is over $500USD and is paid via wire transfer. Or: 2.) You are an established customer with Sailrite in good standing. Email info@sailrite.com for assistance with placing an order to Mexico.

Frequently Asked Shipping Questions

What if there is a delivery attempt notice on my door?

Sailrite does not require a delivery signature. FedEx will provide you with evidence of delivery in your choice of these options:

  • Delivery Confirmation: FedEx will mail you a confirmation of delivery without a signature. Note: Similar information is available when you track your package online.

  • Signature Required: FedEx will obtain the recipient's signature or other electronic acknowledgement of receipt from the recipient when this option is selected and provide you with a printed copy. You may also view the recipient's signature or electronic acknowledgement of receipt online.

  • Adult Signature Required: FedEx will obtain the adult recipient's signature and provide you with a printed copy. Adult recipients must be at least 21. You may also view the adult recipient's signature online.

If three attempts are made to deliver the package(s) without success, the order will be returned to our warehouse. We will notify you of the delivery failure and determine a course of action. Should we need to resend your order, you will be responsible for additional shipping charges. If you refuse the order or delivery, we will credit the price of the items ordered but not the shipping and handling charges (includes all shipping and handling fees incurred during delivery and return).

We recommend using FedEx Delivery Manager® to customize your delivery. Sign up is free at www.fedex.com and you can leave delivery instructions, receive delivery alerts, sign for a package or even change the delivery address.

Can you put delivery instructions on the package?

Notes can only be left on orders placed over the phone. We will try to accommodate requests to write things like "Leave on porch" but cannot guarantee that the carrier will follow through with the request. If the note must be followed, we suggest leaving your delivery instructions via the FedEx Delivery Manager service. Sign up is free at www.fedex.com.

What can I do if the product I purchased is damaged in shipping?

If your product was damaged in shipping, save all the original packaging and call Sailrite. We insure all of our shipments, so we will work with the carrier to have your product replaced.

Do I have to sign for my package?

Sailrite does not require a signature for packages, but FedEx will require it for some areas.

What if I put the wrong shipping address on my order?

If your order has already been shipped, go to www.fedex.com and sign in to FedEx Delivery Manager to change the delivery address of your package (charges will apply). You must sign in to FedEx Delivery Manager with the incorrect shipping address in order to make a change. Small mistakes will usually not cause any delivery delays, however a bad or wrong address may cause long delays. If the package gets returned to us, we can resend the package to a new address but you will be responsible for the additional shipping charges.

Due to our fraud prevention policies, some address changes are not possible using FedEx Delivery Manager. In that case, please call our office and we will be happy to help. In some cases the order would need to be returned to Sailrite and a new order would need to be placed. If this is the case, the customer will be responsible for shipping and return shipping charges.
