Description
Heavy Duty Nylon Webbing offers excellent strength without the bulk. Nylon webbing is also softer than other types of webbing so it's ideal for projects in which you'll be handling the webbing. Use this webbing for safety and rigging equipment, jacklines and utility work and more. Our Heavy Duty Nylon Webbing is thicker than normal flat nylon webbing.
All Sailrite® webbing features a catch cord. A catch cord is a yarn which binds the "knitted" needle edge of webbing woven on a needle loom. The catch cord prevents the fill yarn from unraveling at the cut end. Cutting webbing with a hotknife is still highly recommended.
Nylon webbing features high abrasion resistance but does not float in water. Due to nylon's elasticity, the webbing will stretch but recovers nicely. For a webbing with higher UV resistance, choose a polyester webbing.
