High Density Polyurethane Foam is the best choice when you need a high-quality, long-lasting and dependable indoor-use foam ideal for heavy-use applications. Its density means it will provide excellent support while still delivering on comfort, making it ideal for high-traffic seating cushions (such as couches and sofas), benches, cabin seating and sleeping berths.
For outdoor use, consider Dry Fast or Medium Density Polyurethane Foam. For covered outdoor areas demanding the best comfort, High Density foam should be used, and silk film should be wrapped around the foam to help keep moisture out. Also use an upholstery fabric that has high water resistance or can be treated with a waterproofing solution.
High Density Polyurethane Foam will typically last up to 12 years. It has an extra firm stiffness, a density of 2.8 pounds per cubic foot and a foam IFD (Indentation Force Deflection) of 80 pounds.
The Sailrite® Blade Foam Saw expertly cuts through a full range of foam types. A standard electric kitchen knife can also be used, though the results won’t look as professional. To glue two pieces of foam together, Sailrite recommends using spray adhesive. Foam can also be glued on the sides to make a wider piece or layered to make thicker cushions. If layering foams with different stiffness levels, the firmer foam should be the bottom layer.
Please Note: Sheet size may vary up to 2 inches in length and 1 inch in width.
Important: Items are compressed for shipping, we recommend unrolling as soon as possible. Compressed foam takes up to a week to regain its original size and shape. Allow foam to fully decompress before cutting or using in a project.

FINEST FOAM ON PLANET EARTH!!!
The best foam on the planet, my friend built a sleeping platform in my Transit, and I used this foam under a 4 inch foam pad the size of a twin mattress, it keeps it from bottoming out, its perfect!!
Couldn't find it locally. Doesn't collapse upon sitting upon.
I haven't added the foam to my sofa cushions yet, but I did open it to see how it felt.
Nice and dense as advertised
Prompt delivery...paid for two day...made cushion...done!
Perfect foam for my headboard.
Always a satisfied customer. Been shopping Sailright for 20+ years.
Excellent Quality and Durability
Definitely extra firm like we wanted for our couch. We wanted extra firm and that is exactly what it is, yet comfortable for my back which needs lots of support. It has been over 6 months since we reupholstered the couch and with heavy daily use I don't see any wear or deterioration of the foam. This foam is unlike other foam we used before which wore quickly and lost it's strength. This Sailrite foam is outstanding. Thank you so much for this product and my back thanks you too!
I think this will work great for my project. It did have an odor to it for about a week after opening but it wasn't so strong that I couldn't have it in my home. I did however keep it in a room where we don't go much to let it air out because it was enough to cause a mild headache.
