High Density Polyurethane Antimicrobial Foam is the best choice when you need a high-quality, long-lasting and dependable foam ideal for heavy-use applications. Its density means it will provide excellent support while still delivering on comfort, making it ideal for high-traffic seating cushions (such as couches and sofas), benches, cabin seating, automotive seating, sleeping berths and certain outdoor cushions. Its antimicrobial properties help prevent the growth of mold and mildew.
For outdoor use, Antimicrobial High Density foam can be used, and silk film should be wrapped around the foam to help keep moisture out. Also use an upholstery fabric that has high water resistance or can be treated with a waterproofing solution.
High Density Polyurethane Antimicrobial Foam will typically last up to 12 years. It has a firm stiffness, a density of 2.8 pounds per cubic foot and a foam IFD (Indentation Force Deflection) of 60 pounds.
The Sailrite® Blade Foam Saw expertly cuts through a full range of foam types. A standard electric kitchen knife can also be used, though the results won’t look as professional. To glue two pieces of foam together, Sailrite recommends using spray adhesive. Foam can also be glued on the sides to make a wider piece or layered to make thicker cushions. If layering foams with different stiffness levels, the firmer foam should be the bottom layer.
Please Note: Sheet size can vary up to 2 inches and length and 1 inch in width.
Important: Items are compressed for shipping, we recommend unrolling as soon as possible. Compressed foam takes up to a week to regain its original size and shape. Allow foam to fully decompress before cutting or using in a project.

RENEW YOUR CAR SEATS WITH HIGH DENSITY POLYURETHAN ANTIMICROBIAL FOAM TODAY
My son used the high density foam for my old 1996 Cadillac Sedan Deville, driver seat. I purchased new leather for it. The foam is great, it is bounce back immediately, soft, secure, boosted up the seat much more, it is perfect for car seats, I am glad I found this company.
Great selection for my boat cushions.
High quality foam
Resilient and durable.
I bought this 3" firm, high-density foam to create a chair cushion. I also purchased a piece of 3" high-density foam from my local big-box fabric store. Sailrite's foam is worth the extra $$. It's much denser and firmer and I think will hold up better over time.
Help from my friends
Customer service was awesome and helped me order the correct foam
Foam advertised, with quick delivery
I used this for a motorcycle seat and it worked very well...easily conformed to my homemade seat pan.
Loved the quality. Very supportive in our couch cusions.
We ordered this foam to help boost our couch cushions as we have only had the couch a year and the cushions sag to the frame when we sit in them. I was between ordering the 1 inch thick or next step up, but glad I got the 1 inch one as it fit perfectly! The order came earlier than expected. We unrolled it and let it "breathe" for several days where it expanded a tad more. I loved the quality of the material immediately. We cut the foam using household scissors, which worked fine for us as we only had to cut it in half, and put it in the cushions. They worked beautifully and helped support very well. If we ever need to get foam for other purposes, this is absolutely the company we will use. Thank you!
