Description
High Density Polyurethane Foam is the best choice when you need a high-quality, long-lasting and dependable indoor-use foam ideal for heavy-use applications. Its density means it will provide excellent support while still delivering on comfort, making it ideal for high-traffic seating cushions (such as couches and sofas), benches, cabin seating, automotive seating and sleeping berths.
For outdoor use, consider Dry Fast or Medium Density Polyurethane Foam. For covered outdoor areas demanding the best comfort, High Density foam should be used, and silk film should be wrapped around the foam to help keep moisture out. Also use an upholstery fabric that has high water resistance or can be treated with a waterproofing solution.
High Density Polyurethane Foam will typically last up to 12 years. It has a medium stiffness, a density of 2.8 pounds per cubic foot and a foam IFD (Indentation Force Deflection) of 45 pounds.
The Sailrite® Blade Foam Saw expertly cuts through a full range of foam types. A standard electric kitchen knife can also be used, though the results won’t look as professional. To glue two pieces of foam together, Sailrite recommends using spray adhesive. Foam can also be glued on the sides to make a wider piece or layered to make thicker cushions. If layering foams with different stiffness levels, the firmer foam should be the bottom layer.
Please Note: Sheet size can vary up to 2 inches in length and 1 inch in width.
Important: Items are compressed for shipping, we recommend unrolling as soon as possible. Compressed foam takes up to a week to regain its original size and shape. Allow foam to fully decompress before cutting or using in a project.

Reviews
I bought this to replace the foam in my sofa (20 years old, leather in perfect condition.) The old foam lost its shape, and had no support to give. This foam makes my sofa new again!
Worked great for my project
Great quality
All tho a little pricey, but it is of great quality. I have bought alot of products from Sailrite and have yet been disappointed with the quality of the products. Its the age old quote you get what you pay for.
Very happy!
Ordered and received the following day. Great and immediate service and the foam is amazing.
