Nutshell Pram 9'6 Sail Data

# X-SD-5660

Sailboat Description

The Nutshell Pram 9 foot 6 inch is a glued lapstrake plywood pram. Joel White designed this larger version of the popular 7 foot pram with a substantial transom at both ends meaning it has considerable carry capacity. This larger Nutshell is longer, faster, roomier, and more stable.

This home built dinghy is typically built from standard plywood panels without joining the sheets by scarfing or with butt straps.

Nutshell Pram beam is 4 foot 4 inches, Draft with daggerboard up is 5 inches (down is 23 inches). Weight is about 100 pounds. Sail area is 55 square feet.

Sail Data

*A computer algorithm was used to determine this figure based on partial data (usually the I, J, E, and P). These data points should be carefully checked. More Details >

Please Note: Most of our sail dimensions are based on class rules, designer blueprints, or measurements of sails. These dimensions are intended as starting points only. Sailboats are not all uniform, even from the same designer. We recommend carefully measuring your boat if you are uncertain about dimensions.

All dimensions are intended to be maximum and smaller sails are not wrong.

We've limited our listing to the sails most commonly used, but these are not the only ones appropriate for a given boat.
