Protect your hank-on headsail and free up some room in your sail locker by storing your headsail on deck in this sturdy bag. This all-in-one kit allows you to make a high-quality canvas bag for sailboats measuring 40' and under.

This is not only a high-quality marine bag kit, but it's also a great way to improve your sewing skills. You'll learn many important techniques while assembling and sewing your foredeck sail bag. Here are just a few of the skills you'll learn:

• How to sew a protective flap for a zipper.
• How to add reinforcement patches.
• How to sew hook-and-loop dots to canvas.
• How to make stops for molded tooth zippers.
• How to sew a circular fabric panel.
• And more.

The pattern for the foredeck sail bag comes pre-plotted on reusable Sailrite® Patterning Material. It includes:

• A small pattern for sailboats up to 20' long.
• A medium pattern for sailboats up to 30' long.
• A large pattern for sailboats up to 40' long. Must use for this kit.

The pattern pieces are labeled by size, making it a breeze to cut the right size for your bag. Once the template pieces are cut out, you can reuse them again and again with new fabric. That means you can make as many foredeck bags as you need.

Instructions are available only in video format; you’ll find the video instructions in the image carousel above. The video demonstrates the process using Sattler Marine Grade Fabric, but the same steps apply when using Sunbrella, as it is simply another brand of fabric with similar qualities.
