Top Notch® 1S Tan is a 100% solution-dyed polyester cover fabric with a clear urethane coating on one side for water resistance. Because this multipurpose cover fabric is completely solution dyed, it retains excellent colorfastness and experiences no color rub off. Top Notch 1S fabrics are characterized by their abrasion resistance, water resistance, dimensional stability and UV resistance while remaining soft and pliable. Due to the weave and finish of Top Notch 1S, it is mildew resistant and will not noticeably shrink, stretch or sag.
Top Notch 1S is a lightweight, less abrasive alternative to heavier solution-dyed cover fabrics. This all purpose fabric can be used for protective covers for your boat, patio and RV. It's also a great choice for sacrificial sail covers, sail bags and weather cloths. When in use, the canvas side of the fabric should always face the outside and the urethane coated side should face inward. This fabric is backed by a 5-year limited warranty to ensure performance standards.

Product was easy to sew. Used it for a bbq cover, hope it last
The product was what I was expecting.
Good, heavy duty water resistant fabric that we used to make some outdoor furniture covers. Perfect for that application.
Great fabric. Easy to sew. Should be good in the weather too ... time will tell. The product is advertised as rainproof and okay for cold temperatures. We get some snow here, so it'll be interesting to see if it can withstand that as well.
love this material
I made patio chair cover. It is easy to sew but it is not going to give protection from rain. But I m hoping against heat and dust atleast. Will see
This coated polyester fabric rates 4 out of 5 on our Outdoor Fabric Selection Guide, which translates to 'highly water resistant' (rather than waterproof) as noted in our description. We believe you will be pleased with its performance over time. Here is the link to our Outdoor Fabric Selection Guide.
Not very mildew resistant
I made a canopy top with this fabric. When I removed it last month, I was disappointed to see that it had quite a bit of mildew on it. It took a lot of work and a mold and mildew remover product to get most of the stains out. The fit was tight and there was no problem all summer, until a heavy rain with no wind;somehow water collected on one section of it (hip roof style) and the fabric stretched, making a pocket for water to collect. If it had been windy, I think the wind would have "shaken" the fabric to prevent it from collecting.
Mold and mildew grow on dirt or bird droppings, so can develop on most any fabric. This is why they are listed as 'resistant' rather than 'mold proof'. The cleaning document attached to this fabric on our website reiterates this and provides steps for cleaning as well as preventive maintenance. I hope this helps!
