Spur grommets are not as strong as sewn rings, but they are much more quickly installed. Do not confuse these grommets with the common washer grommets that are sold in hardware stores everywhere. Spur grommets are of heavier metal with spurs all around the inside rim of the washer that lock into a rolled edge on the barrel part of the grommet. As a result, they will not easily pull out of the fabric.

    • Note: Spur grommets cannot be installed with common washer grommet tools. Use a #2 die with a #2 spur grommet.
