Harken Bosun´s Chair is a safe, reliable bosun’s chair for sailors that is both high strength and lightweight. A wide seat platform provides a secure platform, and the chair´s low halyard attachment gives sailors more room to work on the boat. Made from a heavy-duty polyester canvas with a 1″ foam padding ply seat, this chair also features an adjustable safety belt and two roomy pockets for tools. A carrying case is included.
The Harken Bosun's Chair was elected the Budget Buy for Mast-Climbing Devices and the Recommended Choice for a Conventional Bosun's Chair in Practical Sailor’s June 2010 issue. Harken received very good marks in construction, comfort, and toolbag/pockets. "The Harken bosun's chair would be our first pick for someone who puts comfort as the highest priority. Testers felt very secure in this seat, and the additional padding was appreciated. Multiple attachment points and deep pockets are a plus" ("Go Aloft Safely: Ups and Downs of Bosun Chairs." Practical Sailor Vol. 36 No. 6, p. 8-13).
This Bosun's Chair is designed for use by one person with a combined weight (including clothes, tools, etc.) of no more than 220 lb. (100 kg).
