For use with forestay wire up to 3/16 inch in diameter. Hanks are simple and inexpensive, but they do not have the strength nor do they provide the surety required for larger boats. Thus, they are used primarily on day sailing boats under 20 feet.

These hanks can be installed simply by inserting a self-tapping screw (included) into two plastic "ears" that fit over and behind the luff reinforcement. Soaping the screws before installation reduces breakage. These are great for drifters. Grommets are not necessary.
