For SR200 and Long Arm Machines. A Needle Plate supports the fabric where the needle penetrates the cloth. Needle plates can be damaged or broken by a needle strike. If the bend or break is significant, the machine can skip stitches. The measurement (12mm) is the width of the needle slot.
