The ripstop repair tape is going to be nearly waterproof. The ripstop is a near zero porosity and then the adhesive will actually further improve water penetration resistance. But please keep in mind that this repair tape is for repairing sails and was never really designed to create waterproof patch repairs. You would need to test it to see just how well it will work to keep water at bay.
