Seamstick 1/2” Basting Tape is a double-sided mylar film adhesive that bonds well on smooth Dacron sailcloth, nylon, vinyl, or cotton. It is strong, neat, and nearly invisible. Use basting tape instead of pins on sails, bags, covers, and more.

Basting prevents feeding problems while sewing and assures that cloth panels will come out evenly. Seamstick Basting Tape comes in three widths: 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2". Choose a width similar to the seam width. Wider widths, such as this 1/2”, are great for working with Dacron sailcloth and heavier fabrics.

Note: These basting tapes are left permanently in place and are invisible. If any needle gumming occurs, intermittently clean the needle with an alcohol swab or Goo Gone.

For Sunbrella use: Seamstick 3/8" for Canvas is designed to stick to Sunbrella (acrylic) much better.
