Because it’s treated with a polyurethane coating on the back and a durable water-repellent finish on the front, Cordura fabric is often recommended in applications requiring high durability and water repellency. Sailrite^® recommends Cordura fabric for making heavy-duty bags, backpacks, soft-sided luggage, horse blankets, military gear, protective outerwear and more. This material is exceptionally durable while remaining easy to work with.

Cordura^® Classic 1000D is available in a wide range of vibrant colors and is the standard fabric for bags and outdoor gear. And for those looking for an extra heavy-duty nylon bag fabric that has undergone rigorous testing to meet all military specifications, choose Cordura^® 1000D or 500D Mil-Spec. It's made in the USA (Berry Compliant) and meets all the requirements for military specifications (DTL-32439A). It’s even solution-dyed for even greater resiliency when exposed to the elements!

You can also choose from Cordura^® HP, woven from high-tenacity polyester from INVISTA. With a clear polyurethane coating on the back and a durable water-repellent finish on the front, this 915 x 1220 denier fabric is a long-lasting product that resists the elements and is easy to clean. Please note that all Cordura products are labeled with their denier in the description. The term denier refers to the fiber thickness of individual threads or filaments used in the creation of textiles and fabrics. Fabrics with a high denier count tend to be thick, sturdy and durable.
