Come meet Us at the Boat Show!
Our crew loves going to the Annapolis Sailboat Show every year. It’s our chance to meet fellow DIYers in person, to “talk shop” with our marine customers, and to answer questions and give demonstrations on popular Sailrite products. Don’t miss your chance to meet the Sailrite crew in person and ask the questions you’ve been saving up all year. Join us at the boat show!

Eric Grant
Son of founders Jim and Connie Grant, and brother of Sailrite owner Matt Grant, Eric is our resident DIY expert and project guy. You know him from our popular how-to videos hosted on the Sailrite DIY YouTube channel. He may have even answered the phone or corresponded with you via email regarding your product or project questions. Eric is always eager to share his advice and expertise on all things DIY.
"Since I oversee most of the project videos here at Sailrite, it is always good to meet the customers who actually use our video tutorials to help them accomplish amazing fabric projects. Every year I look forward to hearing about them and seeing the photos of your finished projects."
Bill Becker
Bill joined the Sailrite team in 2017. He’s an invaluable member of the customer support staff and occasionally lends a hand in project videos. He chats and emails with customers, helping them find the right tools and materials for their projects.
Bill started sailing over 50 years ago as a young kid on a sunfish dinghy in a local junior sailing program. In his personal time, Bill is part of a teaching program that introduces young sailors to the sport in hopes of sparking a lifelong interest in sailing. This means, in addition to his participation in a local racing club, he’s lucky enough to get on the water at least once a week.
“I look forward to Annapolis every year. It’s always so much fun meeting our customers face-to-face and discussing their project needs. It’s also great to hear about all their accomplishments and the fun they have doing their own projects.”
Matt Borden
Our head sewing machine technician, Matt helps customers with questions or issues with their Sailrite sewing machines. With his guidance, along with our library of machine support videos, Matt helps you get your machines up and running so you can get back to sewing.
Matt learned to sail in the 1980s on C-scows and daysailers. He gets on the water as often as possible and loves spending time with family and friends on his boats. He’s building a 21-foot sloop made from white cedar on white oak with a cedar mast and boom and a 940-pound keel. He’s currently in the process of planking the hull.
“Every year I look forward to visiting 'America’s Sailing Capital' for the United States Sailboat Show. I can hardly wait to view the preeminent boats on Ego Alley, visit with friends, and enjoy the local hospitality.”
