TEXgard EASY CLEAN is a proprietary finish that Sattler developed to give their fabrics outstanding water and dirt repellency, as well as resistance to mold and algae. It works by creating a "lotus effect" on the fabric that essentially makes the fabric self-cleaning.
How does this work? When moisture collects on a TEXgard-treated fabric, it can't soak in. Instead, it beads up into droplets and rolls off the fabric. As the droplets roll, they pick up dirt particles from the surface of the fabric and carry them away. The result is a clean, dry fabric.
This Sattler-exclusive finish doesn't only block water, however. It also shields treated fabrics from oil and grease, and keeps dirt from sticking so it can be washed away. All Sattler fabrics are treated with this invisible shield, giving them lifelong protection from soiling and staining for enduring beauty.

SATTLER® NAUTEX YACHTMASTER
Yachtmaster is Sattler Marine Grade with an acrylic coating on the underside for superior water resistance. In fact, Yachtmaster never requires re-treatment to restore lost water resistance because its water-resistance level won’t fall over time. When you need a highly water-resistant fabric that can stand up to the elements, choose Yachtmaster. This stretch-resistant fabric is not breathable, so you will need to vent it if using it for a full enclosure or cover.
