This is a die set for installing #2 spur grommets. Spur grommets feature metal spurs inside the rim to grip the fabric so they won’t easily pull out. A spur die set is necessary for setting spur grommets. This die set will last a lifetime with proper care.
Our spur grommet die set is ideal for setting nickel and brass grommets. It can be used to set stainless steel grommets as well, but the hardness of the stainless steel can cause the grommet to get stuck in the anvil after setting. Care should be taken when removing the installed grommet from the anvil.

The Die Set worked very well, particularly considering it was my first time to set grommets. I did 100 grommets after a few practice tries (good idea!) without a failure. Suggestion: Have a comfortable set-up, level, and keep the punch vertical with a firm grip and well-centered strike.
