Description

This adapter for the HandyPress® adapts diamond stitching chisels with appropriate threads (8mm x 1) for use in the HandyPress. It is also necessary for the use of upper dies with mating threads. This is one of the highest quality adapters available exclusively from Sailrite. It is bronze in color to match the other standard adapters that come with the HandyPress.

Please Note: If your hand press or dies are Chinese-made with 8mm x 1.25 threads, you’ll need the M8-1.25 adapter (#126863).

The die adapter comes with a rubber O-ring (and two spares). Push the O-ring onto the threaded shaft of the upper die/chisel of the part you’ll be using. Then thread it into the HandyPress® Stitching Chisel & Die Adapter. Tighten it securely. Then slide the adapter into the HandyPress main vertical shaft inner diameter and secure with the thumbscrew. For the stitching chisel, rotate the adapter to set your pricking tines at the desired angle. Follow the instructions in the HandyPress guidebook to set the tool for optimal results.
