Polyester ripstop material is more UV resistant than nylon ripstop, making it ideal for lightweight boat shade curtains and other lightweight sun protection applications. Use it over the boom as a boat awning or as a lightweight RV awning as well. The thin material can be removed and folded up compactly for storage, making it ideal for temporary sun protection that can be packed away without taking up too much space on your boat or in your camper. This fabric is softer than ripstop sailcloth and reversible.

It can also be used as a tent fly. Other applications for this lightweight water-repellent material include jacket and bag linings, lightweight windbreakers, and more.
