Description
Sur Last® is an all-weather fabric, woven from 100% solution-dyed polyester with a urethane coating on one side for water resistance. Sur Last fabric is a tough, non-abrasive polyester fabric with excellent weather and abrasion resistance.
Sur Last from Glen Raven is ideal for marine awnings, boat covers, sail bags and weather cloths as well as outdoor and RV covers.
Sur Last is solution-dyed fabric, meaning that the color, UV inhibitors and stabilizers are actually a part of the fiber and cannot be separated. The result is a strong, long-lasting fiber with rich color that will not fade, wash out or transfer to your gel coat when trailering. The urethane coating adds additional stability, increases water and mildew resistance, and minimizes shrinking or stretching. The coating also keeps this outdoor fabric from unraveling for easy construction — no hotknife required!
Sur Last fabric has passed AATCC 24 Test Method, which measures the resistance of fabrics to the penetration of water by impact. The fabric has also passed the AATCC 127 Test Method, which measures the resistance of a fabric to the penetration of water under hydrostatic pressure. The passing of both of these tests means that Sur Last is qualified for use as a medical gown for Levels 1, 2 and 3. Level 3 medical gowns are appropriate for the widest range of surgical procedures, where moderate fluid protection is indicated.
This fabric features a 3-year warranty to ensure its performance abilities. There is a right and wrong side to this outdoor fabric, meaning that the uncoated side of the Sur Last should be exposed to the sun.

This product was perfect. I made grill covers for the front of F550 trucks. being diesel they needed this in the winter. It sews up so nicely, no shifting. I wanted a good wind break and this really did the job. Would also make a great ice shanty. Light weight but durable.
Good product
Good product, good quality
Easy to use fabric.
Easy to use, but tricky to tell the inside from the outside of the fabric.
Just started working with this material, but I really like what I see so far. Good appearance, easy to work with, and holds its shape while you sew. I'll wait to see how it performs, but my expectations are high.
very quick delivery from Sailrite as always - I am so happy I found the Sailrite machine and choices of fabrics and the incredible amount of accessories available for the do-it-yourselftypews like me
Super Fabric...
Sailrite Team: First off thank you so much for teaching me the craft of sewing. All of my instruction has come directly from your how to video collection. Now on to the surlast review: I really like this fabric, it's priced well and performs outstandly. I have made the following with it: pontoon covers, camping gear bags, fishing rod holder bag, gas grill cover, and could canoe cover. As you can tell I have found many uses for it. It's lite weight, super strong, and crazy water resistant. I use a lot of webbing for snaps and binding on the surlast for a great finish look. 5 Stars from me...
The rating is indicative of the online experience and description. This fabric actually turned out to be perfect for what i needed, but that was by chance. I think you need some written descriptions about the fabric, as pictures are tough to see online. i ended up choosing by lowest prices, but this fabrics quality (strong and does not seem to unravel) and value exceed the price. full disclosure: i was using to mend an old boat cover that am trying to get another 3 years out of, so didnt care about look.
