Prefabricated Boltrope Tape 5/16"

Prefabricated Boltrope 5/16" features boltrope pre-sewn into a folded 8-ounce Dacron^® tape for quick and easy installation along a mainsail's luff and foot edges. This boltrope stretches more than sailcloth so it can be used to gather the sail edge, with reduced halyard tension, in light air and ultimately increase sail fullness. Prefabricated Boltrope also helps distribute localized stress in grommets, jib snaps or slides along the edge.

To use, position the boltrope tape with tension along the sail's luff and sew in place over the edge of the sail using two rows of zigzag stitches.
