DOT® Twist-Lock Backplate For Barrel Stud is made of top-quality nickel-plated brass and is used for cloth-to-cloth applications. A DOT Twist-Lock Barrel Stud (sold separately) rivets through the hole in the backplate. An installed eyelet and washer slide over the installed turn button and backplate. Twist-Lock fasteners are also known as Common Sense® fasteners.

Twist-Lock fasteners are positive locking fasteners that will never open accidentally. Each turn button stud has a spring mechanism that holds the fastener under tension until it is turned by hand.
These fasteners can be installed using the Pres-N-Snap Tool with the Turn Lock Die Set (sold separately).
