A car cover made with Protect-It™ is like sunblock for your car! Designed to protect vehicles from the harsh rays of the sun, this fabric boasts an ultraviolet protection factor (UPF) rating of 180, meaning that it will block 99% of the sun’s harmful rays. It’s also water resistant, quick-drying, mold and mildew resistant, and won’t shrink or stretch.

Protect-It is designed with a four-layer construction to ensure a strong, flexible and breathable car cover fabric that’s easy to drape and offers excellent protection. The top layer provides strength, while the bottom layer offers a soft protective backing. The middle layers are made from a breathable polyethylene film.

Protect-It fabric was designed for use in automobile and RV covers, but it also makes a great cover for motorcycles, golf carts, bicycles and more. For boaters, this fabric is also great for use between sheets of clear vinyl as a protective layer for storage, as a soft layer underneath marine window coverings, or for lighter and softer utility covers for boats and dinghies.

This fabric has a right and a wrong side. The gray side should face out to the elements, while the white fuzzy side should face in, toward your vehicle.

Care & Cleaning: Protect-It fabric is easy to clean. The use of water and Simple Green^® All Purpose Cleaner is recommended by the manufacturer. To clean small areas, simply use a small brush. To clean all over, machine wash at a laundromat in a large commercial unit without an agitator. Use 1/4 cup of cleaner and rinse thoroughly, making sure all cleaner is removed.
