This scratch awl is a must-have for the everyday sewer and DIYer. Use it to score marks and hemlines in fabric. Very useful for marking fabrics with a coating such as waxed canvas. For leather crafting, awls are used to score lines for decorative stitching or hand stitching. You can also use a scratch awl to reopen existing holes as you hand stitch.
