For our backpack purse, we wanted a luxurious faux leather look. That's why we chose Nook™ Indoor Faux Leather fabric. Nook is a high-end leather alternative at an economical price. To line the inside of the bag, we used a Magnolia Home fabric in a bold pattern for a fun pop of color and pattern. You can use an upholstery fabric if you don't want a faux leather bag. That's the great thing about DIY — you can customize a project to make it exactly how you want!

Once you have your bag fabric chosen, it's time to select matching hardware pieces. Our swivel snap hooks, round rings, bag feet and other bag hardware components come in stylish metal finishes. You can choose from gunmetal, antique brass, antique nickel and antique copper. So no matter your fabric color, we have bag hardware that will complement your fabric choice.
