Batten Pocket Protector 5/8"

Pocket End Protectors are especially designed for use in jibsails where full battens may hit the luff at an angle. Use with a 5/8" flat batten like our pultruded or tapered battens. The protector includes self tapping screws.

Battens are a constant source of wear in all sails. But fully-battened sails constitute a special problem since their battens are tied in under pressure to help give the sail draft. The result is that the battens tend to poke their way through the sail at its luff unless special protectors are installed.
