Summary

AlbaChem Headliner Adhesive delivers an incredibly strong bond for headliners. It's a great choice for marine, automotive and upholstery applications.

Full Description

Description

AlbaChem® Headliner Adhesive delivers a strong bond for lightweight headliners. It's a great choice for marine, automotive and upholstery applications. It's water resistant and can withstand high temperatures, making it a great choice for marine use. The nonstaining formula dries clear and will not yellow. The narrow spray pattern stream makes this a great choice for trim work and small areas. Headliner Adhesive bonds to plastic, wood and metal. Use for foam-backed vinyl headliners, fabric-backed vinyl headliners, and carpet installation, insulation adherence, van conversions, automotive applications and motor home uses. It's also used in the manufactured housing industry. It is made for decorative laminate work in furniture, cabinet and woodworking.

Headliner Adhesive is not recommended for use with unsupported vinyl fabric (no fabric on back side).

Shipping Note: This item is flammable. Flammable items can only be shipped Ground to the 48 contiguous United States. This item cannot ship via Post Office.

Features:

  • Strong bond for lightweight headliners.
  • Great for auto and marine upholstery and carpet installation.
  • Water resistant — great for marine use.

Directions for Use:

  1. Clean bonding surfaces with 3M™ Specialty Adhesive Remover (#108984) to remove dust, dirt, oil, etc., before application of the adhesive.
  2. Shake the can well before using.
  3. Hold the can 6" to 8" from the surface and spray. Keep the can moving to avoid buildup on surface. Only a thin film is required; avoid over-spraying.
  4. For a permanent bond, spray both surfaces. For a temporary or repositionable bond, spray only one surface.
  5. Allow the adhesive to dry to a tack before bonding.
  6. To prevent the spray nozzle from blocking: At the end of each day, turn the can upside down and press the tip until spray is clear from adhesive.
  7. Excess adhesive and overspray may be removed from hard surfaces using 3M™ Specialty Adhesive Remover (#108984).

Just finished the first pillowcase I’ve ever made in my life. If you didn’t know, I only started sewing in 2020. There are some great resources out there for learning. I used a helpful tutorial on the sailrite website, and I did sew it with my Ultrafeed after all. They also have a fabric calculator for pillow sewing patterns which made the process mostly newbie proof… I did sew the “wrong” side of the pattern from what I wanted, but you’d never know because most Pendleton Wool Patterns are reversible. I even learned how to do piping, and I think it’s a fancy touch for my princess pillow, as I’m calling it. I’ve got a few of these listed as made to order currently. P.S this is my absolute fave pattern and I don’t think it will last long. Just picked up 1 yard of it♥️ #inbend#madeinbend#madeinoregon #handmade#isewedthis #isew#diamondride #pendletonwool#pendletonpillows #bolsterpillow #learningnewthings #selftaught #smallbusinessowner #etsyshop #pnwmaker #pnwlife #pnwstyle #pnwfashion#ultrafeed

Members of the Indiana WCAA chapter toured sailrite in Columbia City, IN 🤩 it was fantastic! What’s behind us? Giant blocks (called buns) of foam! (The tallest in our group are over 6’ tall). Chapter members are #indianainteriordesigners #customworkrooms #draperyinstallers, and fabric reps. We learn so much from each other and our guest speakers. Are you in the window coverings profession and located in Indiana? We’ve been doing some last minute updates and repairs ahead of our trip north. I finished up some canvas projects to give us a bit more shade and a better privacy cover for the door. Against all odds, both of my patterns and execution worked out nearly perfectly. I wanted to make a full enclosure, but I’m starting with this cover to see if we actually need anything more elaborate. I’ve had my sailrite Ultrafeed LS for almost a year now. I built up my skills on some non-boat canvas projects. We’re also adding a bit of length to our anchor. Going from 15” chain and 150” line to 50” and 200”. I’ll finish up this splice with the hot knife later. More concerning was the high voltage alarm on the smart shunt monitoring the house bank. Turns out it was just was badly corroded and showing some wildly high voltage readings. That got replaced with the IP65 version. It was nice to have fisheriessupply somewhat close to home so I did not have to order this part. One could argue that I should have had the IP65 version from the onset. 😞 Second we had a minor fuel leak at the connection for the sender. That’s also fixed, but we got some help from kingsalmonmarine on that one. 🥳 Not pictured is that we scraped, sanded, primed, and painted the door frame. The paint was bubbling. The likely culprit is from salt water spraying everywhere when Murphy shakes off in the cockpit. There’s more to do on this, but that’s a future Kristi problem. That’s kind of a lot in addition to buying and moving into a new boathouse. Now we are ready for packing and final prep!

Such a cute and functional pouch! This is the Oleander Pouch from sotakhandmade and I used bonded nylon from wondergroundfabrics for both the exterior and the lining (these were from a previous bagmakingbeesclub box). Perfect for a makeup pouch! Zipper tape and pulls from wawaksewing, thread is Tex80 in color Fairy Floss from geekyhardware, cork tag is from heartwoodandhide_co, all sewn on my sailrite Fabricator. #bagmaker #wondergroundfabrics #sotakhandmadepatterns #wawak #sailrite #sailritefabricator

The largest bag I’ve made. I used the sailrite duffle pattern as a base then altered a bit. This bag has 4 extra inches compared to the pattern so it’s a large 28 inches side to side. I’ve added a wider front pocket and pleated the interior lining to allow for more room in the front pocket. I’ve used the famous horweenleather English Dublin and a nylon interior lining. All this was done on the #fabricator sewing machine from Sailrite.

Another huge upholstery project revealed! This one was also a year in the making and involved only 2 sizes of one sunbrella fabric from sailrite but was also 20 slipcovers! I’ve misplaced the original photos, but the set was a faded teal prior to this update. My client was so pleased she asked me to wait for a few weeks as she cleaned up and reset her poolside gazebo. She has now declared this her favorite spot to sit and read! #gazebo #outdoorliving #sunbrella #sailrite #slipcovers #upholstery #zippers #customslipcovers #outdoorfurniture #seamstress #solutionsbytatiana

I fixed a leash with my sailrite #ultrafeed sewing machine (which I use for my upholstery hobby blackdog.furniture). It might not be pretty, but it beats buying a new one.
