This is a clear, 100% polyester film with black thread reinforcement in an diamond X-pattern. A great choice for windows in sails, X-Ply^® Reinforced Monofilm is lightweight with good stability and durability.

To install X-Ply Reinforced Monofilm, use Seamstick double-sided tape to adhere the material to itself or another fabric before sewing. There are two recommended sticky tape options, one is for Mylar/Kevlar applications where a woven taffeta layer provides additional stitch support, and the other is nearly clear with no fabric support layer. If this material is being adhered to itself use the Mylar/Kevlar product for additional seam strength. Use a #16 needle and Tex 70 thread.

When used as a window, use scissors to trim away the base fabric to expose the window after the assembly is sewn.
