White Cushion Underlining is a lightweight vinyl-coated polyester fabric designed for use on the bottom side of cushions, seats and upholstery for your home, boat, RV and patio. The light vinyl coating keeps cushions from slipping and allows for water drainage and air circulation. Cushion underlining breathes and resists rot and mildew growth.
- Prepare cleaning solution using 1 tablespoon liquid dish detergent and 2 tablespoons household bleach in 1 gallon of water. Clean fabric with a sponge or soft cloth dipped in solution.
- Rinse thoroughly with clear water and air dry.
- Avoid direct contact with oil-based products which may cause accelerated aging of fabric. If direct contact occurs, clean promptly.
- Regular maintenance of your fabric will help extend the life. Clean 1-2 times a year when in moderate use (more frequently when used heavily).

Awesome product to work with. Was exactly what I needed.
I'm very impressed.
I wish I had known about this product when I first made outdoor cushions a few years ago. It's easy to cut and sews on my Janome like a dream. No sticking on both the foot and plate. It really works keeping the cushion from shifting, and I believe it is keeping the cushion foam drier than without. Shipping was quick, and the price is right!
I bought this to replace the material on the underside of the seat over the engine compartment. It worked great and looks way better than the dingy old material!
Excellent quality fabric.
Excellent and as-advertised. Easy to cut and ends don't fray.
works great on bottom of cushions! Never would have known about it if I hadn't been watching a Sailrite "how to" video!
This is the right stuff. Trust Sailrite.
Better than expected. Photo online makes the cushion underlining look grey, but it is indeed white with lots of tiny perforations. I am very happy with completed project! I thought I would make the cushions completely with Sunbrella fabric on all sides, but that would defeat the purpose of the open cell (dry fast) foam. Use this underlining on the underside and water will drain out. V Berth cushions aren't reversible anyway. This was an important detail mentioned as an aside in the video instructions. I wish I had paid better attention; it would've saved me days of deliberation! Only afterwards did I replay that segment and realize - yes, they DID tell me that. The video tutorials are packed with helpful information. My daughter had the best method of putting her laptop next to the sewing machine and re-playing bits as she progressed along the project. There's just too much information to take in and remember from one sitting, and the devil is in the details. But follow the video tutorial exactly step-by-step, and it makes total sense. Thank you Sailrite!
I haven’t put my project together yet but all seems to be excellent quality and easy to use. Am going to be making cushions for window seats.
Excellent product and price and shipping
My first time to purchase this Underliner. It sews very well. And the price is right!
