Description

Nylon 200 denier fabric is a Type 66 standard 4 oz. flag material by SolarMax®. Available in many bright colors, use this Nylon 200D to make flags, banners, signs, totes and light bags, windsocks and more. Create a set of International Signal Flags using this material in red, white, blue, black and yellow, or make your own Courtesy Flags. Although a relatively strong fabric, flag cloth is not suitable for use as covers or sails because the stretch and sunlight resistance are not sufficient.

Note: The term denier refers to the fiber thickness of individual threads or filaments used in the creation of textiles and fabrics. Fabrics with a high denier count tend to be thick, sturdy and durable.

Please Note: The fabric comes with selvages hotknifed by the manufacturer. Therefore, the fabric width can vary between 60" and 61".

I think everything is coming along nicely. Wanted to share tidbits of what I find helpful during the upholstery process. If you’re following along, I stripped the chair of its old fabric and now am in the process of covering it in new fabric. Piping can be your best friend in the process. It adds a finished touch and can help hide seams and staples. The piping itself is created by sewing fabric over a piece of rope (I actually use laundry line bc it’s more affordable and the size I’m looking for). To use it, place it over your seams or staples you want to hide and staple it on. Then put another piece of fabric on top of it (stapling from underneath to hide any sign of a seam/staples. Voila!
