This binding tape is cut on the bias, which is a 45-degree angle to the warp of the fabric. Cutting fabric on the bias prevents fraying and allows the binding to more easily bend around curves. This bias binding will have sewn splices where pieces are joined together.
Install Top Notch® 9 Bias Binding by sandwiching the binding over the raw edge of the fabric and sew in place. Using a binder attachment on your sewing machine will make installation faster and easier, but binding can be sewn without an attachment as well.
Note: Bias binding will have splices along the length of the material where the manufacturer has joined the cuts of fabric. This is completely normal and to be expected.
