Ready for an incredibly important sewing tips video? Have you ever sewn binding and hated the look of your cut corners? Well, you're in luck. In today's video, we'll show you how to fold your binding and create a mitered corner so you don't have to cut your binding at every corner. We'll show you how to sew binding around both inside and outside 90-degree corners. Let's get started on this very clever and useful sewing technique.

Continuously sewing your binding around curves and corners in your application gives your project a neat and clean appearance. Though it's a bit more time-consuming than just cutting off your binding at a corner, turning your fabric, and beginning the binding again, we think it's worth it to sew a continuous strip of binding. You can use this binding technique on a wide variety of canvas projects including covers, marine enclosures, tarps and more.

We're using a small piece of marine grade canvas fabric and binding for our video demonstration. In this quick video, we'll show you how to continuously sew binding around both an inside and outside corner. The inside corner will wrinkle a bit, and that is perfectly normal and to be expected. At the outside corner, our folding technique gives the look of a mitered corner.
