This video class will walk you through all the steps involved in building your own outdoor cushion. First, we cover which foams are best for an outdoor cushion. CushionRite™ Dry Fast Antimicrobial Foam is a great foam for an outside cushion. The water will drain right through it, making it ideal for cockpit cushions and exposed patio furniture. It’s also mold and mildew resistant — another reason to choose Dry Fast for outdoor cushion applications.

Next comes choosing the fabric for your cushion. It’s a good idea to use a vinyl mesh material like Phifertex^® on the bottom of the cushion so the water can drain through. You can use any fabric on the top and sides of the cushion; the water will be drained out the bottom of the cushion as long as you use Phifertex mesh vinyl on the bottom.
