CushionRite™ Flotation Antimicrobial Foam (Extra Firm) is a closed cell PVN seating foam with antimicrobial properties. CushionRite Flotation is an excellent choice for flotation gear and marine cushions. Choose CushionRite Flotation Foam for cockpit cushions, life jackets, bosun's chairs or anywhere a firm, thin cushion is needed. It can also be used as the bottom layer when layering mattress foam.

Glue pieces of foam together with adhesive to form custom foam shapes and sizes and to reduce waste.

Flotation foam may shrink over time, especially in colder weather. Note that thicker foams tend to be more stable than thinner foams.

The Sailrite® Blade Foam Saw expertly cuts through a full range of seating foam types. A standard electric kitchen knife can also be used, though the results won’t look as professional. To glue two pieces of foam together, Sailrite recommends using spray adhesive. Foam can also be glued on the sides to make a wider piece or layered to make thicker cushions.

Please Note: Sheet size can vary up to 2 inches in length and 1 inch in width.

Important: Items are compressed for shipping, we recommend unrolling as soon as possible. Compressed foam takes up to a week to regain its original size and shape. Allow foam to fully decompress before cutting or using in a project.

  • Extra-firm, marine flotation foam.
  • Antimicrobial—prevents the growth of mold and mildew.
  • Recommended for flotation gear and cockpit cushions.

If you have 1 inch cockpit cushions this is what you need. You can add a softer 1/2 inch topper for a little more comfort but this will keep your cushions from sagging corners and miss lined seems. Easy to cut with a ceramic knife.

Very nice foam. I’m not experienced with closed cell foam, but it worked perfectly for my seat.

It was a bit larger than I ordered so I was very happy with that. It was very tightly rolIed and had some wrinkles in it, I was worried about that but it flattened out in a few days when I put weights on it. Don't even bother trying to cut it with a serrated blade. My skill saw didn't even scratch it Literally bounced off. Use a very sharp knife. I am replacing all my cushions on my boat and am very happy with my purchase.

It was just what I needed for the seats. I ordered the foam sample box which was a great help in deciding what I should order. The site and the service was was easy to navigate and the delivery was fast. I also like the "How To" which is so helpful. I will definitely be ordering again. The only downside was that the end where the roll started did not return to a useable shape but stayed crimped up. I managed to work around it so the cushion seats were flat with good vertical sides.
