#20 Sewing Machine Needles 135x16 DI

SKU: 100799

Sewing Machine Needles 135x16 DI #20 are specialty needles designed for working with leather. These high quality leather needles by Schmetz are optimized for heavy, dry and hard leather. The blade cuts fibers so that the needle does not have to separate them. These are industrial needles that have shanks that are completely round.

Needle sizes are listed two ways, by size and measurement, so a #20 needle is the same as a 125. For more information on needle and thread choices, see the Thread and Needle Recommendations document.

Allows for thicker thread

by -

These needles have a smooth cut through the leather. While #18 needles are my standard need the #20 allows me to use thicker thread to create a stronger visual impact on the finished product. Thanks to the Ultrafeed I can now work with much thicker thread than I have in the past so I can make my colors stand out.

Small Item Purchases - Shipping

I really appreciate that Sailrite offers the use of the post office for shiping small items such as the four packages needles I purchased. Very affordable shipping cost against the low cost of the needles.
